Silence & Lines ⸺ A single figure in the urban landscape
EN
In Silence & Lines, the city turns into a suspended space where time appears to hold its breath.
Architectural lines, shadows and surfaces dictate the composition, while a single human presence moves through the frame.
Often reduced to a silhouette, this figure negotiates with the surrounding geometry, between fragility and resilience.
The series explores that quiet moment when the urban structure dominates, yet still leaves room for intimacy, for the unseen, for what each viewer brings into the scene.

Dans Silence & Lines, la ville devient un espace suspendu où le temps semble retenu.
Les lignes d’architecture, les ombres et les surfaces dictent la composition, tandis qu’une seule présence humaine traverse le cadre.
Souvent réduite à une silhouette, cette figure dialogue avec la géométrie qui l’entoure, entre fragilité et résistance.
La série explore ce moment silencieux où la structure urbaine domine, mais laisse encore une place à l’intime, à l’invisible, à ce que chacun projette dans la scène.

2019 | Giant Steps ⸺ Black and white echoes of the city

With Giant Steps, I present a series of black and white street photographs made in Luxembourg, London, Toronto and New York City.
These images capture moments when the city seems to move in giant strides, while human figures try to keep up with its rhythm.
Architecture, shadows and reflections create a graphic, sometimes monumental backdrop in which passers-by appear as notes on an urban score.
First shown for the “Lëtzebuerg City Museum” during the Urban History Festival 2019, this series marked the beginning of my public exhibition journey.

Avec Giant Steps, je présente une série de photographies de rue en noir et blanc réalisées à Luxembourg, Londres, Toronto et New York City.
Ces images saisissent des instants où la ville semble avancer à grandes enjambées, tandis que les silhouettes humaines tentent de lui emboîter le pas.
L’architecture, les ombres et les reflets y composent un décor graphique, parfois monumental, dans lequel les passants deviennent des notes sur une partition urbaine.
Exposée pour la première fois pour le “Lëtzebuerg City Museum” lors de l’Urban History Festival 2019, cette série marque le début de mon parcours d’expositions publiques.
